Amazing place, great location, beautiful views and outstanding food - must see. There is a candle workshop close by and Beeston Castle is worth seeing. If you like walking, this venue is perfect too! There are many different ways to spend your time.

What a hidden gem this place is! Wonderful views across the Cheshire plains are what you see from this property. The Pheasant Inn ticks all the boxes for a fantastic relaxing break and also allowing you to take your dog with you. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant and the bar areas, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is so lovely for childless couples such as ourselves that want to take our little friend with us. The atmosphere is very rustic, old worldy with a lovely roaring fire. The food is outstanding and everywhere is spotless. I would say this is ideal for couples who love good walks etc. and want to get away from it all. Will definitely go back!

We spent Christmas Eve here, stayed overnight
and enjoyed a full English breakfast and Christmas Dinner the following day. The
portions are not exactly small…we’re still not quite sure how we managed to eat
most of it!
The Pheasant is a beautiful homely Inn with magnificent views, wonderful food and friendly staff who are very obliging. The service is excellent. The Christmas card, chocolates and miniature drinks were a nice touch on the arrival to our room.
It appeared to be very popular for Christmas Day Lunch and many stayed over on Christmas Eve too. We had a very comfortable stay and will definitely return and recommend to our friends.

We booked a room at The Pheasant to
surprise our friends who were also staying there. Unfortunately there had been
a storm which had knocked out the power supply. This somehow made our warm
welcome even nicer as the building was bathed in candle light.
Our beamed executive room was fabulous, with a large en-suite and all the usual things you would expect including an extremely comfy bed.
Due to the power cut the kitchen had to be closed, but the staff offered to drive us to the village and collect us afterwards free of charge so that we could eat elsewhere, which we thought was a great gesture. Fortunately, the power returned and we didn't have to take up their offer, opting to eat in the bar area. The food was amazing and we were all totally stuffed. The Pheasant sells a selection of real ales too and the bar was really well stocked.
The Pheasant is situated in an elevated area. Our room had wonderful uninterrupted views which stretched for miles.
I would definitely return to The Pheasant!
TripAdvisor Review, November 2013
My girlfriend and I made our second visit to The Pheasant Inn over the weekend and this time decided to stay over to make the most of the facilities. The Pheasant is situated high up on a hillside in rural Cheshire and this gives it a truly spectacular view of what seems like the whole of the county. The pub is everything you would expect from a cosy country pub; it has beams everywhere, open fires, a good selection of local ales and a menu full of tempting meals. The thing however that sets it apart is the atmosphere, which is one that avoids the snobby gastro pub cliché and instead allows wellies and dogs inside and is coupled with staff, who greets you more like old friends than customers.
The menu is wherever possible sourced locally and changes with the seasonal availability of ingredients. The menu doesn’t differ from lunch to dinner (apart from sandwiches being offered at lunch), but has more than enough choice for even the fussiest of diners. The wine list is a good size and offers a good variety of options without being overawing. We also stayed the night in an executive room, which luckily had some windows looking out over the gorgeous view.
The room was a decent size and came with a spacious en-suite bathroom. The finish on the room wasn’t top quality, but was certainly more than adequate and did all we need it to. To continue the theme of good food, the breakfast was a lovely, with eggs benedict being my personal highlight. All in all, the pub was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be revisiting soon.

Went here again this year after getting engaged there last year, and it was almost as good this time too! (marks off because this year because last year we got engaged!). Food was amazing, room was lovely, views were amazing, staff were very helpful and the whole place is fantastic. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here or just go for food
