What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love eating out with friends, walking my dogs, keeping fit at the gym and spending time with my godsons.
What is your favourite comfort food?
My ultimate comfort food has to be a lovely Sunday roast made by either my Nan or my mum – you cannot beat their family roast! Although the Pheasant roast comes extremely close!
If you could recommend a dish off the current menu what would it be and why?
I have learnt so much about different dishes from working at the Pheasant, watching them being freshly prepared each day by our fantastic chefs, that I could recommend them all! If I had to pick a personal favourite it would be either the Truffled Chicken or the Confit Belly Pork – both dishes have fabulous presentation, and the flavours are a taste sensation. The mixture of ingredients in each dish are a real treat for your taste buds and they are full of flavour from start to finish.
If you could invite any celebrity to dine at The Pheasant Inn who would it be and why?
We’re all about keeping it local where we can, so the celebrity I would love to invite would be Gary Barlow as he’s a Cheshire man! He could enjoy our views and fantastic British food, and then maybe sing us one of his classics.
You were previously Assistant Manager at The Bear’s Paw before being promoted to The Pheasant, what made you choose to work for Nelson Hotels?
I chose to work for Nelson Hotels as I had heard so many nice things about both the company and the owning family, especially from spending a lot of time dining at The Fishpool Inn and so I was keen to become part of the company. After 3 enjoyable months at The Bear’s Paw, I was quickly promoted to General Manager at The Pheasant. It has been a very rewarding 6 months so far and I am extremely proud to say that I now run one of the best country pubs in Cheshire! I’m delighted that the family have taken me in and trusted me with one of their beautiful properties, they’re great to work for and the support and advice they have given me is fantastic. It has to be said, it is the best job I have had in all my years in hospitality!
