With us being a traditional countryside inn, we decided the best way to celebrate British Food Fortnight at the end of September was to feature an extra special menu that highlights some of the very best of our British produce!
Feeding off inspiration from the transition in seasons, and the welcoming of game season, we’ve pieced together a specials menu (our regular menu will also be available) which beautifully combines some delicious ingredients sourced in the locality.
The following dishes will be available from 19th September to 4th October, you can pick and mix with our current menu!
Roasted fig, Cumbrian ham and Nannykins goat’s curd salad
Steamed Menai mussels, soft herbs, garlic and white wine sauce
Grouse, roasted squash, puffed barley, leg pastille and elderberry sauce
Venison haunch, baked apple, chestnut, blackberry and chocolate oil
Damson and almond tart, kirsch crème fraiche
Raspberry fool, lemon and lavender sabayon
