The Pheasant Inn in Higher Burwardsley has been shortlisted as The Walkers’ Pub Of The Year at the national Great Outdoor Awards 2015.

The Great Outdoor Awards celebrate the products, people and services that contribute to the enjoyment of the hills and mountains across Britain. Nominated by the readers of The Great Outdoors Magazine, the UK’s most established and respected hillwalking publication, The Pheasant Inn has been recognised within the public awards category.

Nestled in the Peckforton Hills, The Pheasant Inn is tucked in a peaceful corner of rural Cheshire. The Pheasant enjoys some of the most magnificent panoramic views in the area, making it a popular choice for ramblers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Commenting on being shortlisted for the award, General Manager Chris Duxbury, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised as the perfect retreat for people enjoying the local hills. The team is particularly pleased to have been nominated by our valued customers – the very people who come and enjoy our beautiful establishment – and we are very proud to have been shortlisted for this nationally recognised award.”

The Great Outdoor Awards 2015 will take place in Kendal, Cumbria on Wednesday 18th November. The evening will bring together many independent establishments with nationally recognised brands to champion outdoor pursuits throughout the UK.
